Dark Bridge chosen for PiFan's It Project


Dark Bridge, a thriller by Bangkok-based Argentine-Spanish filmmaker Marcelo von Schwartz, is among 15 titles chosen for the Network of Asian Fantastic Films "It Project" market at the 14th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival.

IMDb, where the project is listed as "in production", has the synopsis:

David White is an American surgeon who comes to Bangkok for a conference. He meets a mysterious Thai woman who guides him towards a past he did not know changing his role, from a respected surgeon to a confused detective, to finally discover his father's hidden story and consequences.

Dark Bridge is debut feature by Schwartz, who is co-producing the picture with Juthamas Sitthichai. It stars Nate Harrison with Peter Rnic, Christopher Evans, Keysha Monique Mabra, Antonio Pineda and Jeab Li.

Bangkok-based raconteur Pineda details working on the film on his blog.

In all, there were 74 submissions from 21 countries. Other projects on the shortlist include Berandal by Indonesia-based Merantu director Gareth Huw Evans (TwitchFilm.net's Todd Brown co-producing) and Camera by James Leong from Singapore.

The 14th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival runs from July 15 to 25 with NAFF held from July 18 to 22.
